Tomorrow at 12 noon, PST... you can read my interview with former Burlap to Cashmere member, John DeGrazio. Here is the link, it won't work until noon 9-1-13, so make sure you save it: http://bit.ly/15sNzvO
In this interview we talk about spiritual warfare, his new album "Songs from the Warzone" (which has a spiritual warfare theme,) his experience crossing paths with evil in the music industry, as well as a friend's tragic suicide and more. There's also some great advice in there for young artists, especially one part about when you should and should not sign an indie record deal. Whether or not you've ever heard of this artist, you won't want to miss this interview! If you missed my review of John DeGrazio's 'Songs from the Warzone," album then you can read the review here.
You can listen to John DeGrazio's music and latest album, "Songs from the Warzone" now on iTunes! and anywhere music is sold online. I was mailed a copy of this album for review, before I requested this interview; I think it's a great album and would recommend the purchasing the physical copy.
Here is a tiny preview of tomorrow's interview with John DeGrazio:
"Being in the music industry for as long as I have been, I'm sure you can imagine the amount of darkness and scary people I have crossed paths with. I've been involved (unknowingly at the time) with some of the most evil people you could fathom. The first song on the record "100 Out of 100 Times" is really about that - how they deny that there is evil. It's very convenient for those participating in evil to deny that it exists. Actually, all of the songs on this album deal with Spiritual Warfare. "Closer to Heaven" is a forward looking perspective of the downfall of societies and the corrosion on morals. It's from a perspective mainly of a post-American world where freedom and the love of God are shunned. We are seeing this coming to fruition as we speak. "Why'd You Have to Do it" is a about a friend of mine who committed suicide. "Take Back What I've Done" was born from a miserable business situation I got myself involved in with a very evil individual. Lacking better judgment and discernment; realizing my mistake, I was pleading - begging - for God to undo my mistake. "When the Storm Comes" is all about weathering spiritual warfare and lyrically how I go about doing it." John DeGrazio - From the John DeGrazio interview to be published tomorrow 9-1-13 at 12pm PST. Again, the interview link will not work until 12pm tomorrow, so save the link.
Also, as you know... I David Moore (of Tyde Moore,) am the PR rep for Christian artist and model, Katelyn McCarter. Oddly enough, I found a connection between John DeGrazio and Katelyn McCarter in the interview. It wasn't intentional, nor did I know beforehand that there was a connection. You will have to read the interview tomorrow if you want to know what that is. I just thought that was an interesting 'coincidence,' if there such a thing.
