How Come Randy Travis Stopped Making Christian Music?

Hey guys, was wondering if any of you knew the answer to this question? Its been bothering me, because I was really getting into his gospel releases... then suddenly, he went back to secular. Did something happen? Is he still a Christian or was it just because of low album sales? What is the deal? Anyone know?

I like country gospel myself, but unfortunately it doesn't sell. My last country release was "Jesus Is Our King (feat. Jared Eaves & Lori Hall)." In my opinion it sounded great the singers were terrific... but it didn't sell a lick despite heavy promotion. So, now we are just going to do Contemporary Christian Music, under the name Tyde Moore. The whole reason for the switch isn't for money on our part, its just because we look at it like this: If your sales are low, that means your music ministry isn't reaching as many people as it could. If you have a music ministry, you have to keep up with the times. I just don't understand the Randy Travis switch though because he isn't an unknown like us. It seems like he can do whatever style he wants and still sell a bunch of CDs. So, what is going on?
