President Obama Fights Back

Tonight... Well, last night I guess you can say now was the second Presidential Debate. Who won? Ask the wives of President Obama and Mitt Romney, both will say "My man won!" That is the same thing Democrats and Republicans alike are saying, so who won for real?

The reason President Obama's supporters might say he's the winner is because his performance was way better than last debate, and he stood toe to toe with Romney this time. The President was in a better environment for him, and because this debate wasn't a "game changer" in favor of Mitt Romney like the last one was, that is a win for President Obama. So, more or less in comparison to last debate, President Obama looked more like a winner.

One reason Mitt Romney supporters might say he won is because he finally gave us a little more information on his tax plan, etc. Also, they might say he won because his performance was consistent with his last performance... Just this time the President fought back.

There is one thing that bothered me about President Obama's performance tonight... It seemed like whenever Mitt Romney was going to try and debunk one of President Obama's major campaign fallacies about him, the President would interrupt (using something like time running out as a reason). Time was running out, but at the same time if Romney would have gotten to say what he was going to say, then maybe President Obama would have lost one of the major focuses in his campaign like "Mitt Romney invests in chinese businesses that take American jobs." The President's timing in his interruptions immediately stood out to me.

However, overall this debate does not have a "clear winner." Both sides are going to be able to say, "My man won." But since it isn't a "game changer" for either side I'm going to call this one as a draw. There is no winner and I'm not even going to try and talk facts... because I felt like both sides were lying, but about what I don't know.

I do know that President Obama was telling the truth when he said, "Students are already getting help from PEL grants." I can fact check that one, because I'm one of those students receiving it... Other than that, since I am in college I don't have time to check into every little thing that one of the candidates say.

So, again in my opinion "your man won" whoever your man is, because its a draw in my opinion. While the President did fight back, Mitt Romney was consistent with his last debate.

Keep one thing in mind too: This second debate took place AFTER early mail-in votes have already been sent back by a lot of mail voters. So, if debates change voter opinions (which I really don't think so), then Mitt Romney's win in the previous debate has already made a significant difference.
